The vehicle not moving could be a separate issueto the P code. Have you been having issues with gear changes before this, Crunching or grinding noises? Have you noticed any leaks under the vehicle? The most common reasons for no movement is low transmission fluid, a worn out clutch or failed clutch.
The trouble code refers to an emissions and performance part called the "Secondary Shutter Valve" (SSV). This code will not stop the vehicle moving but it could affect how the car behaves. The vehicle could 'stutter' or 'Buck' as you use the accelerator pedal.
Repairing time for this will depend on what and where the issue is with the SSV system.
possible but not probable
when the oil is cold , a filter problem will be more evident as it would not pass the thick oil
more likely a pump problem or servo. solenoid problems leaking the hot oil
if it has an ECM take it in and have the fault codes read
next suggestion is to take it to an accredited transmission specialist shop and have a proper diagnosis done
depending on the transmission , it could be a clutch plate problem ( oil on the plate) or failing engine mounts if clutch cable operated
if auto it could need an oil change as the oil may be causing the bands and clutch packs to stick monentarily
ther is not enough information to be certain but if it is a manual with a cable clutch , the first place I would be checking is the engine mounts simply because ine end of the cable is attached to the motor and the other to the cabin and if the engine is allowed to move from weak mounts then the clutch is in an on.off situation during take of from the engine reaction to the load applied
on over run it will not happen as the engine is not under load
You should have diagnosed & found a problem,
BEFORE you did the alignment, because now if
you find you need parts, to solve the problem, you
may have to align it again & now you may also be
wearing the new tires
Wrong strategy & I assume wrong shop, or they didn't
understand or care what your vehicles issues were
People seem to always think an alignment will solve
mechanical issues, for some reason
For me-- I ask,why does a fairly new 2008 vehicle have those
problems in the first place?
If it has less than 100,000 miles it is under warranty. Most vehicles have a 100,000 mile warranty on drive train. It will save you hundreds of dollars. .
