I assume the clutch won't release. Put the trans in neutral and start the engine. Let it get warm. MAKE SURE THERE IS ROOM TO DRIVE THE TRUCK, WITH NOTHING IN THE WAY. Stop the engine, put the trans in first, and start the engine. The truck will jump forward when the engine starts. Get it on a clear road, push the clutch pedal in, and hit the gas. It should come loose in one or two tries.

Why Clutch pedal wont move on a 1989 toyota 2 wheel drive 4 speed pick up

Hi Joseph:
One more thought. If the push rod from the slave cylinder if fully extended, the throw-out bearing has probably broken.

Clutch pedal is tight, stick shifter is tight. however it will not go into gear, with or without clutch pedal, and stays running, doesnt stall. new clutch three months ago

If your car wont go into gear when the engine is NOT started then you have a gearbox problem not clutch.you should still be able to get all gears without using the clutch pedal. The clutch is only there to stop you stalling when standing still,Its possible (but not nice)to drive and change gear without a clutch.Hope this helps.

How to work a 1983 toyota 4x4 stick shift?

Simply press your left foot on the clutch pedal, and move the stick shift to the desired gear. When doing so, please go off the gas pedal with your right foot.

Cna i adjust athe clutch in a 1994 toyota pick-up

The linkage cable before the trans should have an adjustment nut on it. This controls the fork assembly movement. adjust the linkage to remove the pedal free play and this will also tighten the clutch.

I have a 89 toyota pickup 4 speed. When I'm stopped at a stop light, and let out on the clutch it seems like it has lost pressure. When I'm shifting down the road it shifts fine. I checked the fluid and it...

this sounds like the clutch slave is goin out, this unit is on the outside of the transmission. Possibly losing pressure!! Your transmission does not use transmission fluid, but instead gear oil. Have the following checked:
1. Clutch Slave (possibly worn)-this will cause soft or hard clutch pedal feel, slipping clutch, unintended clutch release, hard gear engagement, no/insufficient clutch movement.

*2. Clutch pedal Mounting Plate (possibly cracked)-this will cause improper gear engagement, hard gear engagement, soft pedal feel, insufficient clutch movement.

*this plate is located above the clutch pedal itself, apply pressure on the pedal with one hand while inspecting the plate for fatigue cracks(use a bright flashlight). This is very common on these models. This problem will eventually get worst and most mechanics never figure this out.

Get the clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder looked at.One of the 2 has failed. If the pedal goes to the floor or is very loose, this is very likely the cause. Not an expensive fix.Hope this helps

My 4x4 toyota pick-up was stored for two years without running now my clutch stuck at the end i start my engine when it is engaged in first gear and it run ,i try to push on the clutch or change gear a...

Clutch system works exactly like hydraulic brake system. Check everything for leaks, make sure slave has not rusted and frozen in place and check that master cylinder is not bypassing internally. It's a good idea to bleed it out as well...fluid is hygroscopic and likely has drawn in water from the air over time (not good for system) That applies to brakes as well.
