When I use Remote Start my vehicle doesn't run long. With winter coming I'd like to get into a warmed up vehicle. What can I do?

Gasoline contains water at molecular level, and when the gas is combusted in the engine, the water turns to steam and condenses on the cold walls of the exhaust and drips from the tailpipe. If the weather is cold and the engine is only ticking over, water will continue to drip. If you take the vehicle for a run, the extra heat in the exhaust due to higher revs will heat up the walls of the exhaust and the dripping will stop. What you are seeing is perfectly normal in the winter. Only the ambient temperature outside will affect warm up time because the engine block is pre-chilled in winter, or warm in the summer.

A 3-to-1 white vinegar and water mixture will also work as well.

Connie this sounds like your thermostat in the engine is stuck open not letting the water stay in the engine block to heat up. The fix is to replace the thermostat with a new one that will allow the water to stay in the block to warm up. The typical symptoms of a stuck open thermostat is that the air will blow somewhat warm but never hot in the winter time, but it will take a few miles for the air to warm up at all. I would check with the dealership and find out what degree thermostat to replace it with. I run a 180 degree in the summer and a 195 degree thermostat in the winter just to have hot heat in the winter. I hope this helps

I am not sure I understand the problem. If I do understand correctly, all you need to do is, at the end of your driving for the day, leave the fan (blower) at the setting you require it to be at when you begin your day. Alternatively you could use a block heater (perhaps on a timer) which would warm up the coolant to a temperature adequate to run your fan (blower) when you enter your vehicle for the next day. The added benefit to this would be a saving in fuel while your vehicle idles before you begin your day, not mention the possibility of it stalling during after start up the next day. Is my assumption correct?

you really dont want to install an auto starter on a hybrid, but if you do please let an experienced tech perform the installation. the engine on the vehicle works in conjunction with the battery, the battery actually helps keep everything warm so the vehicle warms up faster.

output of the remote start kit powers the crank lead till starts... second it power ignition feed for ignition control systems ( engine ). last yes it powers what we call the accesory ignition... which powers the ac....heater....so on..most of time these are tied in on wires from ignition switch
