2004gmc envoy XL 5.3 it won't shift into overdrive code po753

code P0753 (1-2 clutch solenoid circuit). Open solenoid causing the problem. Pull side cover and install new solenoid.

1991 gmc sierra 4x4 not shifting into overdrive everytime, also reverse quit working

There are solenoids inside the transmission that control the shift points. The first thing to eliminate as a problem is the filter in the transmission. Replace it first. then move on to internal parts to find the problem.

My 1990 GMC Sierra 4x4 wont shift into overdrive the engine just revs up after second gear. All the other gears work fine.

check the wires on the overdrive solenoid on top of the gearbox .if ok change the overdrive relay.

if it is just overdrive that isnt working it will possibly be the electronic solenoid for overdrive in the transmission that needs replaced...

either the transmission bands need to be adjusted or the solenoid is bad and needs to be replaced. The first thing would be to change tranny fluid and filter.

How do i change the shift solenoid on a gmc envoy 4x4?

The sift solenoids are located on the valve body inside the transmission.
The transmission pan has to be removed to gain access the the valve body. Once the pan is removed the valve body is in plain sight.
Removal of the transmission filter will grant you a clearer view as well.
This is a 4L60E transmission, in the event you have not purchased the solenoids.

Wont shift back from 4x4 low, to 2x2

I also have a 2002 Envoy. Shifting to and from 4wh and 4wa can be done on the fly but shifting to 4wL has to be done stoped and while in neutral. Try that. Otherwise I'm afraid its a new computer for you. Its located under the left rear seat and you need a loan for one.
