07 Murano headlight went out, replaced bulb, still doesn't work, now what?

If fuses are good, most likely the 'ballast' is at fault.

Removing low beam bulb on 05 subaruoutback

Whether they become damaged in an accident or simply burn out over time, your Subaru Outback's headlights may eventually need to be replaced. Fortunately, once you've purchased the right replacement bulb for your model year, performing the repair yourself is relatively easy. These instructions only apply to Outback models made after 2000.

  1. Undo the clips on the air intake ducts using a screwdriver and remove the duct from the engine compartment (driver's side bulb removal only.)

  2. 2

Loosen the secured clip on the washer tank with a screwdriver and slide the tank horizontally to allow easier access to the headlight assembly (passenger's side bulb removal only.)

  3. 3

Turn the bulb cover counterclockwise and remove it from the assembly.

  4. 4

Disconnect the headlight electrical connector and undo the assembly retaining spring.

  5. 5

Pull the old bulb directly out of the socket and replace it with the new one. Press the retaining spring back into place and reattach the electrical connector.

  6. 6

Replace the bulb cover, and then turn on the engine. Test the new headlight to make sure it works before replacing the air intake duct or the washer tank and closing the hood.

    Replacing the High-Beam Bulbs
  1. 1

Undo the clips on the air intake ducts using a screwdriver and remove the duct from the engine compartment ( drivers side bulb removal only.)

  2. 2

Loosen the secured clip on the washer tank with a screwdriver and slide the tank horizontally to allow easier access to the headlight assembly (passenger's side bulb removal only.)

  3. 3

Disconnect the headlight electrical connector and undo the assembly retaining spring.

  4. 4

Turn the headlight bulb counterclockwise and pull it out of the socket.

  5. 5

Reinstall the new bulb, replace the retaining spring and reconnect the electrical connector.

  6. 6

Test the new headlight to make sure it works before replacing the air intake duct or the washer tank and closing the hood.

I have a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder the passenger side headlight will not come on but there is power and if I plug the bulb into the drivers side it lights. I have checked the fuses under the hood and they are...

if it's like a Quest, the relay on the passenger fender controls the left headlight and vice versa.

Could also be the headlight switch, I have seen that too.

2005 Lexus RX330 HID ballast replacement, passenger side headlight. What is the removal procedure please?

I have a 2005 Lexus Rx330 with HID AFS headlight. My passenger side light went out. I thought the bulb burnt out, so I bought a new bulb. After replacing the new bulb, it happened exactly like my old bulb. It light up lightly and then total black out. What's wrong with it? I thought the ballast burnt. I called Lexus dealer and asked for the new ballast/transformer. Surprised me, they don't know what is it. They told me they only know the wiring harness and the socket, but not the ballast ??????? Could you tell me what do I need to replace?

Thanks,

I can't get to the high beam bulbs on our 2005 Odyssey. How do I remove the headlight for easier access to the bulbs?

The procedure doesn't call for removing the headlight assembly. It is as follows:
The high beam headlight bulb and the low beam headlight bulb are replaced the same way.

Open the hood. To change the high beam headlight bulb on the passenger’s side, remove the power steering fluid reservoir from its holder by pulling it straight up.

Remove the electrical connector from the bulb by pushing on the tab and pulling the connector down.

Remove the bulb by turning it one quarter turn counterclockwise.

Insert the new bulb into the hole and turn it one-quarter turn clockwise to lock it in place.

Push the electrical connector back onto the bulb. Make sure it is on all the way.

Turn on the headlights to test the new bulb.

If you replaced the high beam headlight bulb on the passenger’s side, reinstall the power steering fluid reservoir.

Hope this helps, but if you are having some specific problem leave a more detailed comment and I will try to help you.

Headlight Issue

No, you just might have to take out the battery. I was able to do it without taking the battery out, but only because I was being stubborn. There is one thing I definitely have to say is that you should change both headlights at the same time. My driver side headlight was the first one to go and I didn't listen and just changed that one, days later my passenger side one went out!
