Why doesn't my 2013 Nissan Sentra recognize the FOB? Says FOB "not detected" when its in my hand. Is this a dead battery in the FOB? how do I get this fixed?

Doesn't recognize the FOB even when I have it in my hand. I can't start my car.

SOURCE: 2002 Nissan Sentra car will not start but battery is 100% charged, will start when boosted though

check your battery cables to see if the cables themselves are corroded and also check the connections where they connect to the vehicle that they are clean
positivecable will connect at the starter and the negative will connect to the engine some where.
if this does not help then have your starter tested to see if it is dragging. as it could be the armature or the brushes in the starter.

SOURCE: 1995 Nissan Sentra, The engine light and brake

You could have faulty altenator or short causing the battery to drain. The engine light usually comes on when anything electrical or sensor wise is faulty. Brake light will come on if, low brake fluid, e-brake handle is up.

sorry IMMO can not be hacked. and is a#1 design GOAL here,
scanning the car is first. if IMMO fails.
what error it shows is any ones guess, we scan it now.
no I read the manual to you in the glove box.
page 99 (pdf)
"The NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System will not
allow the engine to start without the use of a
registered key.
The security indicator light blinks whenever the
ignition switch is placed in the OFF, LOCK or ACC
position. This function indicates the NISSAN Ve-
hicle Immobilizer System is operational.
If the NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System is mal-
functioning, the light will remain on while the
ignition switch is placed in the ON position.
If the light still remains on and/or the en-
gine will not start, see a NISSAN dealer for
NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System ser-
vice as soon as possible. Please bring all
registered keys that you have when visiting
your NISSAN dealer for service".

SO now you know how IMMO works

scanning will tell you the key is bad. I bet. but gee I can;'t scan your car.

2016 Nissan Sentra and key fob not working.. strange thing both of them not working.. Is there someplace to insert key to start it?

Hi. I would have your FOBs tested or try replacing the battery in both FOBs. Your vehicle will not detect the FOB if the battery is too low or dead. Start there first. If that doesn't help please write back with more information, details and I will try to help. Good Luck.

2001 nissan sentra key fob problems

If the battery is definitely good, it is possible that the contacts on your fob for the open door command are dirty or wearing out..

Those fobs are inordinately expensive for what they are so it behooves you to check it out first.

How can i get into my primera, the fob doesn,t work and there is no lock to put a key in?

Is the battery in the fob dead or is the fob just totally shot. You can take your VIN# to a Nissan dealer with the fob and as long as the numbers match they should be able to get you a new fob.
