Radio won't light up

Does it play? If so, you have a burned-out light bulb in the radio. You'll have to remove the radio from the dash to replace the bulb. (That's assuming it doesn't use an LED.)

If the radio does not play at all, either it isn't getting power or the radio has failed. To check if it's a power issue, first check for a blown fuse and replace if necessary. If the fuse is OK, reach behind the radio to make sure the power cable is plugged in securely. If neither of these work, you're going to need a new radio. They're not worth repairing. And don't go to the dealer -- OEM radios are very expensive and not all that good. Go to a place that sells and installs name-brand radios. You'll get something twice as good for half the price.

I have a ford fiesta Zetec s and i have a aftermarket stereo wired up but when i turn it on it lights up but no sound please help?

in all modes. new aftermarket or 1970.
the radio will play with radio , cassette, CD, or USB stick and even AUX to the iphone.
so are all dead? if yes,
that means.
the power pin is dead, (lights up does that mean dial lamps or you can see station tuning work, if just back lights that is not radio power
that is the park lights power.
the radio has power wire, main, that must be 12vdc or the radio and amp will be dead.
missing inline fuse. or blown?
most radios have 3 power pins and 1 ground
1: 12vdc power. main
2: 12vdc park lamp circuit, for dial.
3: memory.
4 : ground wire.
take all 4 to work right.
takes 1 and 4 to play music. at say USB port.

The factory radio in my 2007 Mercury Mariner Premier just quit playing audio all together. It still has power, lights up, displays the station info and all buttons appear to work via the display. It s

could be the speaker out put has come loose at back of radio as to have all speakers blow at once is just to much of a coincedence so pop the radio out and check wiring connentors if all ok looks likely the radio is needing replacing

My radio wont play- its on and reads whats playing but no sound, doors dont ding when open, back inside lights wont come on

Some cars radio's will "lock" whenever they are disconnected from power. It is a safety feature to prevent theft. I'm not very familiar with this type of system, but I know that there is some sort of "unlock" code that must be used. I would try to call a local dealership or use good ol' google to find out more info on it.

My radio panel lights went out a few years ago but the radio sitll played, 2 days ago the radio just stop but the cd plays, what's wrong?

That's what eventually happens to all the old Chrysler radios. You will have to get it repaired or replaced. Some of the newer Jeep radios will just plug right into your dash harness.

Radio panel light is out

this radio panel is lighted from the rear by a tiny light bulb, to replace it u must remvove the radio and then take the top off the radio, under the top cover u will find a bulb socket, it twists out, the bulb is about $2 at almost any car parts store. U will need a set of special tools to release the spring clips that hold the radio into the dash.

your radio is shot, and the cd and tape player still works. You have to buy a new radio if you want to listen to a radio.
