Takes an electrical diagram, volt meter, and a bit of time to figure out. Check other fuses that should have voltage with the key on. If there's no power to them, then it would be the ignition switch. If there is, then a broke wire would be the cause.

SOURCE: Truck Won't Start . Replaced Fuel Pump . Still Won't Start .

It sounds like a short circuit, check the wiring from the fuse to the pump with a meter you will probably find that is the problem especially if you put power directly to the pump and it runs.

In the instrument fuse box is a fuse marked F/P-INJ. fuse 15amp.this supply's power to the fuel pump through the fuel pump relay. If you knew how to do it you check for power at the fuel pump relay ! 05 Chevy cobalt have no power to fuse block for fuel pump

You have no voltage at 15 amp fuel pump fuse in the under hood fuse/relay center ? There is a fuel pump relay also in same under hood fuse box. The fuel pump fuse gets power from the fuel pump relay. The ( PCM ) engine computer controls that relay, gives power or ground electronically to turn the relay on giving power to the fuel pump through the fuel pump fuse. You could have a bad relay or an anti-theft system problem . What engine does you vehicle have 2.0 L or 2.2 L the 2.0 L engine gets power differently to fuel pump .

Shorted out one of the fuel injector wires, and now my fuel pump isn't working, checked the fuses, none are blown, any ideas, other fuses or fuse link?thanks,

The fuel injectors receive their power from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Power Relay which is located in the Engine Compartment Fuse Box. This circuit is protected by Fuse "I" (20 Amp), also located in the Engine Compartment Fuse Box. If you blew a fuse, this would be the one.
The fuel pump, however, is a totally different circuit. (although it is controlled by the PCM which will not work if the fuse above is blown) The fuel pump gets its power from the fuel pump relay which is protected by Fuse "O" (20 Amp) in the Engine Compartment Relay Box.

the fuel pump fuse is fuse #1 15amp in the inside fuse box ( left side of dash behind fuse box cover ) the fuel pump relay is behind left side of dash ------- cavity #2 & #5 at the relay should have battery voltage in start and run cavity # 3 is the power out to fuel pump and cavity #1 is the ground that is turned on by the on board commputer.

No power to fuel pump on 99 chevy venture

If you do not have power on the GRAY wire at the fuel pump.........
switch the fuel relay with a same type good relay in the relay box and check for power again.
REMEMBER ...YOU WILL ONLY HAVE POWER 2 OR 3 SECONDS AT PUMP AFTER KEY IS TURNED TO RUN POSITION......after key has been off for 10 seconds.(or when there is oil pressure)
If no power in the gray wire at this point and you have checked ALL fuses in engine compartment and on right (pass ) side of dash panel facing pass door.......add your own jumper to supply power to system at fuel pump fuse and test again.........if power at pump now....install a permanent jumper (SWITCHED POWER....OFF WITH KEY) at fuse box......if still no power check all connections between fuse box and pump.....or run new power feed wire to pump gray wire and disconnect old.

The fuel pump is not pumping in this dolphin. Someone told us the corroted fuse box might be the problem

Could be a corroited fuse for the fuel pump. When you take off the fuse box cover check out which one is for the fuel pump and check and change if needed that fuse and see what happens.

The fuel pump could also have a chance of being dead as well.

Trying to find the fuel pump FUSE.

There is no fuse specifically dedicated to the fuel pump on this year and model of Suburban. This Suburban is equipped with dual tanks and as such has two relay switches, primary and secondary, both of which are located at the main fuse box in the engine bay, that power up the respective fuel pumps.

The closest fuse (15A) controlling either of these relays also powers up the main control module (located beside and below the main fuse box). So, if one needs to disconnect the fuel pumps from functioning, then the only effective method is to disconnect the fuel pump relays.

Fuse/Relay Location: 5
Fuse Amp Rating: 20 Amp Mini Fuse
Power Distribution Box Description: Fuel pump

Fuse/Relay Location: 203
