Does it move at all up and down? These mirrors commonly get stuck from not being moved very often. Use your hand to force it up and down. (it will make a grinding noise, no worries, it doesn't hurt the mirror.) Try it again. If it still won't move. Check the other side. if it does the same thing, the master switch is burned out. Otherwise you may need a new motor. (Yes, motor, not the whole mirror. They are available separately) Or just pick up a good used one. Good luck.
If the mirrors only move down and not up I would suspect the mirror switch , the mirrors use one motor to move the glass up and down, and another motor to move them in or out , and if the mirrors move down the motors are working.the only other possible problem would be a wiring but highly unlikely due to the fact that the turning the motors in a different direction is done by switching the polarity to the motor which requires both wires to be good to make the motors move in the down direction ..check the mirror switch I am sure you"ll find that"s your problem
I had the same problem with my power windows and it turned out to be the switch. replace the fuse with a new one because some times they look good but they are not. You can swap one with another from your fuse box and check both the fuse and the switch in one step.if the mirrors work fuse, if what you plug the mirror fuse into works, then check the switch.
did you check power mirror fuse? if ok, remove your power mirror switch at the driver side and clean the contact area, take a test light and check all wires for good connection. one by one test the voltage output,-/+ by pressing the switch, if all wires have output -/+ , and mirrors still not working, remove the switch connector, find out the three wires going to power mirror and direct it to - and positive voltage alternately, if the mirrors move, repair the wire that cut on the moving area, if still not moving repair or replace the two motors inside the mirror
You might want to try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and then reconnecting it. This procedure fixed my seat that was not working. It works fine now. I know it sounds too good to be true but it usually works
adjust your mirror to center with your hand manually and try the switch again. if it still dosn't work switch to the other side mirror and see if the other side goes up/down. if it does then replace the side that's not going up and down....you have to replace the whole assembly. can't just replace motor.
You can try to take out the selector swith for the up/down-in/out direction, disconnect the socket, and spray the switch and the connector, with contact spray. Move the switch in all direction several time, connect the socket and, before you replace the switch, try to operate the mirror function. I have done this on my own car, with success.
