How to locate and unstop air cond drain - 2006 Nissan Altima

If you mean the condensation water from the a/c - the drain tube is probably gunked up.
There is a small tube or hose near the passenger floorboard that the water drains thru. You should be able to see if from under the truck.

There is a tube that lets the a/c drain and it leads to underneath the car or outside of it, possibly to the engine compartment, and that is how the condensation/water is drained. When this drain tube is clogged then you will have this exact issue. What I would recommend doing is to locate the drain tube, disconnect it and use air to unclog it. You can use either compressed air (you can buy it in a can) or simply blow in it and it should unstop the hose. I hope that this information was useful as that is my goal.

check your drain hose for blockage, if it's clogged up the condensation will leak into the floor

Look under the hood where the ac lines go into the firewall,and look directly below it,it may have a elbow boot like thing on it,just pull it off and use compressed air to blow the drain out,it will come out like a water fall when it is unstopped,if this was helpful,please rate,thank you.

The drain is located under the hood on the drivers' side. You will have to get under the vehicle, it is to the left of the steering wheel linkage. A bolt is coming through for the accelerator and there is a hole to the left of the bolt and on the bottom of the hole is where it drains from

I assume it is water and not coolant. Coolant would have a distinct smell.

Your condensate drain tube is likely stopped up. This drain allows the water from the evaporator coil to drain out of the car. The first thing I would do is try to locate the end of the drain underneath the car. Check between the right front tire and the center point of the engine. If you find it, run something fairly stiff up the tube and see if you can get it unstopped.

sounds like a stopped up drain tube. probably will need to take to repair facility so they can use compressed air in drain tube to unstop it. Hope this helps.

It should be on the passenger side firewall in the engine compartment. It is more than likely easier to see it from under the vehicle.Good Luck!!!!!!
