Remove the coolant reservoir,2 nuts. You don't have to drain it or remove the hose. Set it out of the way. Take the belt off. They make a tool for this. You can usually rent one from a parts store. 1 bolt at the front of the alternator and 2 on the side by the fire wall to remove All 3 are 15 MM bolts.. Pull it loose and out some. remove the plug and power wire. I don't remove the battery cable, but you might want to. Negative side.

2003 Olds Alero - this is silly!

On mt 2003 olds radio, there are 2 "spots" on the upper right hand of radio facing. Undo a paper clip, fits nicely, and hold until you hear a beep, use this to change time after beep.

2003 OLDS ALERO WITH 2.2 LIFTER WILL NOT PUMP UP

Replace the lifter, but before putting in new ones soak them in lighter weight engine oil or EOS that the dealer has. if you are watching your budget you ATF. I just purcased a 2000 alero with the same problem. That is what I am going to do and replace tensioner guides.
