FORD RANGER ENGINE PROBLEM

Check the fuel pump emergency cut off just in case also may want to look at the ECM..

Are you getting fire?have you checked your fuel filter and coil pack

check all fuses, any ground cables disconnected?

first thing i would do is compresion test if good go thru fuses and relay check all grounds

connect fuel pressure gauge see what pressure you have with key on reply back

Change the stater in the distributor(hall effect).

Sounds to me like a bad control module. The control module controls the order of which the coil pack fires. If that is bad you get no spark. Seems to me that it should have been your second option right after replacing the coil pack.

u may have an intake manifold leak or low cylynder pressure

I had the same problem , and if you read your book, it could be the fuel pump shut off switch, mine was bad and went from on to off position, its usually under the passenger side of the dash, look underneath at the "top" of the carpet, and you'll see a little red switch, check to see if the thing is plugged in , if it is , check to see if the switch is all the way down. i had to get a new one , sombody must have kicked mine and made it broken, but i got a new one and it worked fine
