if you have basic hand tools and some knowledge of auto repair i would say you've got a shot, be sure to take your time with it and replace the tiny little o-rings on the fittings rout the line out of harms way and properly bleed all the air form the power steering when your done, i would rate this a 7 on the 1-10 scale only because it is crucial you get all the air out otherwise damage could result to the power steering pump good luck and please be sure to rate this -jeff ps you may want to pick up a ciltons manuel it will make your life easier and will explain the proper air bleed procedure

SOURCE: mitsubishi l200 animal 2006 leaking oil from steering rack

Its most likely a seal on the power steering rack by the age it will most likely just be a seal they are about £7 in UK but possible the rack is goosed although I doubt it, please be careful using the car as it can lock the steering in position, and,,,, well you get it.

Power steering pressure hose replacement

I need more info to help you. Take it to a good shop. It is ok to drive it there, just try to tape or plug or wrap the hose just in case all the fluid has not drained out you don't want to make a mess. It will be hard to steer, you will just have to drive old school, like it was before power steering. Mike
