My dials on the dashboard don't light up

Check all the fuses for the instrument panel lighting.

Check all the light bulbs behind the instrument panel.

Replace all burnt fuses and light bulbs.

I would recommend checking the fuses for the dashboard lights. If no fuses are burned, there could be a possibility of the bulbs in the dash being burned. In any case, start by looking in the manual for fuses relating to dashboard/gauge cluster lights. Once you find out what fuse it should be go from there.

My 99 chevy silverado dashboard turns off and on when turns on stay that way for a shor period of time and then turns off

you either have a bad fuse or you may have to replace the bulbs behind your dashboard. most of the

lights behind the dashboard are wired in series, what that means if one goes out all the rest go out.

1st thing you want to do is disconnect the negative side of your battery.

you will have to unscrew the trimpiece around the dashboard, unscrew the dashboard, once you access the

back of the dashboard, you will see all the little lights. keep track of where the lights are inserted,

because if you don't you will have more problems. if you have an ohm meter you can check each bulb

one at a time. I recommend if you go this far just replace all of them, to save a headache later on.

1991 Chevy Blazer dashboard lights are burned out. Can't read

Your dash needs to come out. These bulbs push into a plastic piece that "twists" into the back of the dash board. (About a 1/4 turn) Unless you can get at them from underneath, but I think it's to tight.

if all the dashboard did not turn on, check the fuse for instrument gauges. you have to remove the dashboard to locate the bulbs.

The odometer has to be pulled out. You dont mention what year it is, but double check your fuses to be sure.

Dashboard Lights - "brake lamp" light stays lit/ dashboard bulb for gas gauge burned out

you can remove the cluster and buy the bulb separate as far as the brake light it is either the float is bad in the master cyl. or you have low frt brake pads
