My 02 olds bravada idles really rough even when cars in drive i can still feel the rough idle when im driving or sitting at the light

sounds like a bad iac valve. idle air control, dirty throttle body, and relearn the idle after repairs.

It sounds like you have an engine misfire. Your car probably idles rough through each state, including Drive, Park, and Neutral, but you'll only really notice it when you're transmission is engaged. Anyway, there are only 2 things that can cause a misfire: ignition issues, or fuel delivery issues. The most common of all issues is a loose or damaged spark plug. A lesser issue for ignition systems is a bad coil (this would depend on the year of the car). An even rarer issue would be a bad fuel injector (again, this depends on the car's age). I'd start by checking the idle air control valve, google it for your car and it will give you location, unplug it and the car should die, if not good possibility it's bad.

It can be issue with IAC( idle air control valve) causing the problem.

There are many other possibilities causing these idle issues. Engine idles rough.

check throttle body and check for codes

It can be issue with low fuel pressure,the fuel pump is getting old both needs to be checked.Also get the IAC valve checked.

did it misfire before the tune up? if not more than likely the firing order is wrong the wires we're put back onto the plugs incorrectly check the order other things that can cause this are fuel or even a vac. leak

Usually your pcm, (onboard computer) will pick up anything out of the ordinary and set a check engine light. this will point you in a direction if the code pertains to the idle issue. If no check engine light, then being a ford you may have carbon build up behind your throttlr body butterfly valve/flap. this will cause a rough idle, as well as issues with your egr valve and your idle air control valve. Its really kinda difficult to diagnose over the phone so to speak, especially if you are dealing with a problem that your pcm will not pick up.

There are several reasons why the vehicle could be rough idling. If no check engine light is on and the vehicle feels like it's idling rough when you put it into gear. The transmission mount may be worn out which cause the vehicle to feel like it has a rough idle. Definitely at minimum you will feel the vibration when sitting in the vehicle.

Rough idleing, especialy when the air condition is on, is really quite normal for old cars. I drive a 96 corolla and when the airconditioner is turned on, the car will make a deep whining noise. It should stop when shifted into drive(automatic) or gear(manual) in most cases, it is not a serious problem. However, if you feel the idle is too rough, i would recommend fuel additives designed for highmilage cars. I use fuel injector cleaner. after many uses, my rough idle ended. If after trying this, you find the idle to still be to high or rough, have a talk with your local mechanic. Hope this helps
