1995 Isuzu Rodeo is equipped with a belt driven fan with a viscous fan clutch for engine cooling. The electric fan is for A/C condensor cooling only. The condensor fan is switched on and off by the A/C fan relay, which is operated by the triple pressure switch located in the A/C line on the left side of the engine compartment.
DO NOT attempt to replace the triple pressure switch without first using the proper equipment to evacuate and recover the freon in the A/C system. The A/C system is under high pressure and attempts to replace parts without discharging the system can result in serious injury.
if it overheats quickly, you may have a blown heat gasket - if it overheats slowly, check your fan clutch - if it is worn out the fan won't turn fast enough - also check inside the radiator to see if the passages are clogged - if there is a lot of build up around the openings then you will need to replace the radiator or take it to a radiator shop and have the top removed so they can clean out the passages - also make sure there is nothing obstructing the flow of air through the radiator like leaves or paper that might have blown up from the road - good luck and have a nice day :O)
ENGINE BLOWING FREEZE PLUG IS CAUSED BY RUST OR CORROSSION DUE TO TIME WEAR, HEAT STRESS, OR ENGINE GETTING TOO HOT PRESSURE BUILT UP DUE TO.ENGINE BLOCK CLOGGED NEED FLUSHING ALSO RADIATOR.REPLACE THERMOSTAT ALSO.
I have instructions in .pdf that you can view on your computer. Send me your email with the subject TIMING BELT and I'll be happy to forward it to you.
it's on the bottom of the motor, towards the back on the passenger side. It has a small clip of wires and one screw holding it on. You may want to pull it up on ramps- if it'll run- otherwise, get under the Rodeo, it's up a little higher than the oil pan, and to the passenger side. (it's right on top of the two lines that run to the bottom of the radiator.) You will need a 10mm socket to remove it. I have added a few pics showing the location (i just completed this task myself)
