I have a 02 blazer i want to put a motor out of a 98 in it will it interchange

Some body panels might interchange. Contact your local juck yard and there parts cross book will tell you for sure.

I would have to say no. in 2002 the change the electronics and maybe other stuff. and there is 2 different engines you didn't add that. the blocks might be the same but you would have to change a lot of parts to make it work with the different engine management system

Depends on the engine and the cutlass.
A salvage yard would have the books to tell you what will interchange.
If both engines are the same size, and both cars are the same body style, the basic engines may swap out, but the sensors and exhaust manifolds probably won't. You could have problems with the motor mounts and flywheel too.

Rebuild your engine or junk the truck. I refuse to work on these...Way too much trouble...If you want to replace it. 99 to 02, i believe. Just replace all the sensors and such off the old engine.

im not sure what your looking for as far as parts... but motor wise., yes they are there both vortex. and the trannys and t cases should be interchangeable... after all you did get a chevy. almost everything is interchangable.

It's not worth doing all that conversion, buy the time you spend the time and money to convert the 89 4.3 to work on the 98 blazer, it would be cheaper to install a 98 vortec rebuild. The 89 4.3 have a TBI fuel injection system and the ecm on the 98 will not work and the bad news is that the ecm on the 98 also controls the transmission shift points and the 89 will not, so even if you swap the ecm to have the 89 4.3 engine work. the transmission will not shift. Sorry for the bad news but it would be cheaper to replace the 98 engine with the years of 1996 to 2001. Good luck and hope this helps.

sorry but your stuck with the 4l60e if you want it to be right. as for using the bravada transmission thats fine you just have to use your transfer case. your transfer case uses a switch on the dash and an electric motor on the transfer case. the bravada uses a series of sensors on the front and rear axle that sense wheel slippage and send a signal to the electric motor on the transfer case causing it to lock in four wheel drive. when the sensors dont sense wheel slippage any more the system returns to two wheel drive. that,s why they call it smart track. just unbolt your transfer case from your transmission and bolt it to the bravada transmission and install it. p.s- dont forget to at least change the front pump converter seal. for 4 or 5 bucks it,s cheap insurance against a major leak and i dont think you want to pull that transmission out again and yes i saw that happen to many times. good luck.-G.J.M
