Possibly a bad connection on the positive side coming from the battery or a weak ground. Check where the leads join the terminal clamps. Has the battery been verified as good? It doesn't take a lot of amps to run lights but it does to turn over the engine. Jump starting it does not require a fully charged battery.
Try replacing the solinoide, and make sure ALL connections are clean and making good contact. Also you should have the strater amperage draw and the charging system tested.
Change your starter relay. Make sure your battery connections are clean & your ground has good grounding. You may need to clean your starter connections also. Good luck!
When you turn the key, does the starter relay click?
Could be the heavy connection from the battery to ground or to the starter solenoid. Make sure these connections as well as the battery terminal connections are clean and tight.
have you tried testing the battery?????? multiple clicks normally means a battery issue. check and make sure that both connections are tight and right. then maybe try to jump the car with a "jump box" or another car if it starts and stays running........ then remove the positive cable from the battery and if the car stays runnig then you might want to replace the battery. if it dies then you have an alternator problem.... good luck.......aint no pro but had simular problems....does it have a separate cylonoid?? try jumping the cylonoid from post to post and if it starts then maybe you need to change the ignition switch, and if its a standard, chack the clutch switch. both can be found under the dash....
Were the connections clean? (battery cables and posts
Did you have a good connection with the jumper cables? (some battery posts are hard to get at and clamping a jumper cable can be difficult)
How long were the jumper cables left on? (weaker batteries will require leaving the jumpers on for a longer period of time (15-30 minutes)
Was the other car running? (jumping battery to battery will have the same effect as jumping alternator to battery)
Was the car with the dead battery warm or cold? (if the car you're trying to start was hot, it may not be the battery that's at fault
If the car you're trying to start is cold, ensure your battery connections are clean (manually cleaning is better but there are some very good sprays that work pretty well. Leave the jumpers on for a longer period of time with the other car running. I hope this solves your problem. Best of luck. Greg
it sounds like a intermittent sensor problem . nightmare have you tried to see if there is an expert on here might be able to recommend somthing sorry i dont know. joe
not to shure what condition your battery is in as well as the cable connections those corrode real fast check ur battery terminals and clean them with sandpaper aswell as cable connectors and reinstall try you may need a boost when u get it running check voltage gauge notice voltage should be 13 15 volts on a battery that needed a boost to get trck going . using a 12 volt test meter while running pop hood and use tester to see batery voltage after cleaning cables if there is less than 12 volts replace alternator ok good luck hope you geter up and going
