Chrysler van won't go forward or revers

Im having the same problem as you. First thing is, If it was a valve popping it would make the noise when started not only when in reverse. Secondly, the vehicle is starting so its not the battery, if it were clicking from the battery it would mean the van wouldnt start and it would be clicking when it tries to turn over.

take it in and have the fault codes read
when engine lights start flashing that is the time that you look immediately to have the codes read

Doubt it is a relay,all but one window works! Are you just going to buy a new one,without knowing if it is the problem?
Check the pass window switch.
Switch,okey,remove door panel and check out motor

I change the coil and still nothing its got a 454 in it i dont know much about newer trucks

is it not fireing at all?if u put a new coil in it nd it still aint firing u may need a new ecu aka computer brain.....before getting this make sure your wires to your coil aint got no short in it...nd make sure your grounds r good...if all thats good then im putting my money on u need a new computer...hope this helps

My van cooling fan does not work

I believe the power supply to the cooling fan is a fusable link. You will find several of them together by the strut tower. To do a quick easy check - visual inspection may show a burnt wire or simply tug on each fuselink. If it stretches the fuselink wire is burnt. Be aware that the ground for the rad fan is located on one of the starter bolts and is real commonly left disconnected after changing a starter. Starter solonoids commonly have issues on those vehicles so chances of it being changed is highly likely.

VAN WONT START

: Sounds like you have attacked the problem pretty well. Check the fuses. Do a "pin" check for power and ground to the ECM. When you replaced the ECM, did you use a new prom? If not, you could have a faulty prom. Check fuel pressure and using a Noid light check the pulse at the injectors. For your information, the injectors will have 12-volts and the computer momentarily grounds them to open the injector.
Your problems may be caused by a faulty ignition switch or starter solenoid.
Intermittent electrical problems are difficult to trace. We would suggest first checking the ignition switch and next the neutral safety switch
You are close to the right track but check the fuel pressure during the no start condition as you may have a faulty fuel pump. You also could have a vehicle speed sensor problem

Peugeot expert 20 hdi

Hi, I have a 2.0HDI Expert which was doing the exact same thing as yours, blowing thick black smoke, sluggish and loss of power on gradients, a hissing sound and surging. I replaced the air flow meter but that didn't help. I was told to replace the turbo but a turbo expoert told me not to as it would blow white smoke if it was faulty. I was then told to replace the injectors but a diagnostic test showed them to be functioning fine. I was then told to look at the intercooler which had thick sludge at the lower left pipe. I replaced it today - Sunday 12th July and it is now driving like a new van. It now pulls me up gradients with ease in 4th and 5th instead of having to drop gear to get to the top. I got a replacement from Euro Car Parts for £147 inc VAT. To tell if this is your problem, look through the gaps in the lower section of the bumper at what looks like the radiator and look for sludge over the inside of the bumper and all over the pipe where it joins the back of the radiator (intercooler). Also open the bonnet and look down behind the grille for the same sludge. Hope this sorts it for you. Barry, Newtownards, Northern Ireland.
