SOURCE: engine starts for 3 seconds and then shuts down,

do you mean the engine runs for 3 second and it shut down completely, and you get no dash lights, radios, interior lights and so on... while the key is still in the ignitions? If that is the case have your ignition switch check, the same part where you stick the key in. The unit tend to go bad over period of time and looses its contact. there is really no way of testing it unless you take the unit apart and jump the connectors. Do this first, put the key in the ignition and wiggle turning the key back and forth at the same time by starting the car and see if you get any contact playing with ignition switch. when you stick the key in the ignition, does any instruments lights lit up when the key is turn to on position? if not than it will be the ignition switch. If all of the intrument light come on while the key is turn to on position, try this also, get a jump from a friend car to make sure the weak battery and alternator is good and working properly.

Setting the Time (Without Date Display) If your vehicle has an AM/FM base radio with a single CD player and preset buttons numbered one through six, the radio will have a clock button for setting the time. You can set the time by following these steps: 1. Press the clock button until the hour numbers begin flashing on the display. Press the clock button a second time and the minute numbers will begin flashing on the display. 2. While either the hour or the minute numbers are flashing, turn the tune knob, located on the upper right side of the radio, clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the time. I can't change the time of the clock on the Hyundai 50645P CD player/AM FM clock. There is no information in the Sante Fe manual. Any advice?

Try this, put the key in the ignition and let it be on the first turn right marked "ACC" or you can turn off the stereo and you will notice that only the Digital Clock screen will show. Turn the Volume/Audio/Sel knob and press on the "DISP" button simultaneously for about 4 seconds then release the "DISP" button. The digital clock will start blinking, and then use the Tune/Seek arrows pointing up and down to change the time. If the hour digit is blinking change the hour and after you have changed it press "DISP" then the minute digit will start to blink change it using the arrows, when you are done press "DISP" again or leave the clock for between 4 to 8 seconds the clock will start working normally.

I hope this works for you.

Good luck!
