Chevy Aveo5 2008 automatic trans - how do I remove the parking brake lever?
I basically want to completely remove the parking brake console. I've removed the three parking brake console screws and the console is now free, except it's now blocked by the top of the parking brake lever. To remove this obstacle, I thought I needed to loosen up or remove the parking brake lever or the entire assembly. I removed the three floor bolts holding down the parking brake assembly but SOMETHING seems to be holding down the forward part of the assembly. How do I get past this final obstacle?
