Location of DRL module on 1988 Dodge ram B250 camper van

The Daytime Running Light (DRL) module location on your 1988 Dodge Ram B250 camper van may differ based on the model and year. However, the DRL module is often positioned in the engine compartment or near the front of the car in many vehicles, including some Dodge models. Here's a broad map to help you find it:

Engine Compartment: Begin by opening your camper van's hood and viewing the engine compartment. Look for a little black box, either rectangular or square, with wires connected to it. The DRL module is frequently positioned on or near the firewall, which is the wall that separates the engine compartment from the passenger compartment.
Near the Front Bumper: The DRL module may be positioned closer to the front bumper, behind the grille, or near the headlights in some automobiles. It is frequently attached to a bracket or metal frame.

Consult the Owner's Manual: If you have the owner's manual for your vehicle, it may contain precise information regarding where the DRL module is located. For more information, consult the index or the electrical system section.

Online Forums and Repair Manuals: If you still can't find the DRL module, look into online forums or repair manuals for your exact car model. Enthusiasts and mechanics frequently offer extensive information and schematics that can aid in locating the module.

Professional technician: If you are unable to locate the DRL module on your own or are uncomfortable working with vehicle electronics, it is best to seek the assistance of a professional technician. They can promptly locate the module and assist with any repairs or modifications that are required.

DRLmodule location 2004 grand caravan

There is no separate DRL module in this vehicle. DRL is performed by software detecting the need for DRL (daylight and engine running) and achieves DRL by pulsing the power to the high beam lights. The power pulsing is done by the front control module in the integrated power module once it gets the command from the body control module. You'll need a scan tool to see if the BCM has commanded the DRL on. If it is and you're not getting any DRL,

Where is the DRL module located on a 2003 GMC Savana 1500?

There is no DRL module .
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
The DRL are a function of the front turn signal lamps. The DRL will operate when the ignition switch is in the RUN position, the gear selector is not in the PARK position, and the headlamp switch is in the OFF position. When the BCM receives these signals it will signal the turn/hazard flasher module to turn on the DRL by grounding the DRL low control signal. The turn/hazard flasher module supplies voltage to the DRL on the right and left DRL/turn supply voltage circuits. If a front turn signal lamp is inoperative the DRL will not operate.
The DRL can be deactivated by turning the headlamp switch to the DRL OFF position while the DRL are operating. The DRL defeat position of the headlamp switch is a momentary ground signal to the BCM to command the DRL function ON or OFF. After each key cycle the BCM will default to the DRL ON function.

2010. where is DRL module located?

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) NOTE: The smart junction box (SJB) must be configured when installing a new module. For additional information, refer to Section 418-01 .
The DRL system operates the low beam headlamps at a reduced intensity. The SJB supplies pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage to illuminate the low beam headlamps at a reduced intensity when the following conditions are met:
  • The headlamp switch is not in the HEADLAMPS ON position.
  • The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
  • The transmission is not in PARK (P).

Where is the DRL relay located?

There is no DRL relay , has a lamp control module .
The daytime running lamps (DRL) activate under the following conditions:
?€¢
The ignition switch is in the RUN position.

?€¢
The ambient light sensor indicates daylight.

?€¢
The vehicle is not in the PARK position.

When the above conditions are met, the lamp control module (LCM) supplies battery positive voltage (B+) to the low beam headlamps through CKT 589 (GRY), the DRL resistor, and CKT 12 (TAN). The DRL resistor reduces the voltage supplied by the LCM. The low beam headlamps light at a reduced intensity. The DRL disable if the vehicle is placed in the PARK position. When the ambient light sensor indicates darkness, the low beam headlamps automatically switch from a reduced intensity to a regular intensity.
