This year of RAV4 doesn't have an inline fuel filter, only a fine mesh nylon screen at the inlet to the fuel pump inside the fuel tank, it never needs changing unless you replacing the fuel pump. Almost all newer cars and trucks are like this.
on a ford mondeo 08 the fuel filter is at the rear of car u take old filter put in new one fill with fuel put back together then put a pipe on feed [there might be a bleed niple on top that will be easier] suck till fuel comes out conect pipe back turn ignition on for 15 seconds 3 times to clear air then start done
You all really need to get more specific. You've just got a situation here, no question. The fuel filter is integrated into the fuel pump, inside the fuel tank. Spark plugs are easy.
Check your running fuel pump pressure. If (as I suspect) it's too low, first try changing your fuel filter. After changing the filter, recheck the running fuel pump pressure. If still low, check you fuel pump pressure regulator. If OK, you may need a new fuel pump.
Also probably would be a good idea to replace you air filter.
The schedule for changing the fuel filter is in the owner's manual. With most vehicles, every 80,000 km is a good interval unless the fuel in the driving area is generally of low quality.
Some vehicles get by with never changing the fuel filter.
I've changed many and have never seen it make a difference.
Both are under the hood and easy to get to. As for the Air Filter nobody beats K&N they are simply the best. Any fuel filter thats the right one will do.
