WHEN I START THE CAR THE SCREEN DOES NOT WORK. THE RADIO PLAYS BUT I CANT CHANGE ANY STATION. 30 MINUTES AFTER DRIVING THE SCREEN STARTS TO SHOW AND I CAN USE ALL THE FUNCTIONS OF THE SCREEN. THE DEALER SAYS THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT.
SOURCE: where are the plugs on lincoln navigator 1998
They are under the coil packs. You will need an 8mm socket to remove the bolt on each coil pack then remove them to access spark plugs.
SOURCE: lincoln navigation dvd
On my '06 Navigator the navigation dvd goes in a slot on the console to the left of the passenger's feet. There's a removable panel.
On a side note... does anyone have a newer dvd for Canada? The one that came with my vehicle is compile for the Quebec (*gasp*) market and is outdated.
SOURCE: 1999 Lincoln Navigator ABS warning light turns on?
One of the ABS sensor's is bad or a hub bearing is bad.Could be front or rear.
SOURCE: 2000 lincoln navigator wont start its not the battery, altenator
If it starts, even after turning motor off (immediately) while the engine and ambient temperature are quite warm, it could be the starter relay (which is inexpensive), a starter- not inexpensive- a neutral-safety-switch, or an host of other electronic problems that Navigators/Expeditions are notorious for tormenting their owners.
The relay is what I finally was able to have fixed- and it was only $56 to have an independent shop do it.
Good Luck!
There is a radio option to recalibrate your touch screen. Please press the following three hard keys simultaneously RADIO/MEDIA, SEEK UP, NAV (AUDIO on REN). Once you begin to recalibrate the touch screen you must finish. Audio confirmation prompts are provided for each of the three points of calibration, one beep for the first, two for the second and three for the third. The calibration needs to be precise as possible and a PDA stylus would be recommended. The MyGIG radio requires the user to repress each calibration point to confirm the calibration process. A green crosshair indicates proper calibration. You must not start with the "+" but with the "+1", then goto "+2" and last to "+". Repeat this until all crosses are green and exit with pushing the menue or any other key. Done

Before I make any suggestions that to get into the Touch-panel control module in the center console... Your RADIO controls on your STEERING WHEELS... DOES/DOES-NOT OPERATE VOLUME, STATION Tuning, MODE (AM, FM, FM2, ETC.) SPECIFICALLY from YOUR Steering wheel during your first 30 minutes... No/Yes??
