I would check the fuel pump by disconnecting the fuel line between fuel filter and fuel pump.Turn the key on and see if fuel comes out with a strong stream. If no fuel check fuse if good replace pump.

14.6 means your voltage regulator or diode is suspect Despite having new alternator .Ive cross refrenced your smptoms in the haynes workshop manual and alternator is your only end answer. The haynes test is to start vehicle with multi meter connected across the battery terminals, increase the engine speed until the reading remains steady should be approximately 12 to 13v and no more than 14v.switch on as many accessories as possible(headlights heater blower radio etc)check that the alternator maintains the regulated voltage at around 13 to 14v.If the regulated voltage is not as stated then alternator is to be repaired/replaced.Good luck with it and a happy new year.

The reason the fuse blows/melts is because there is excessive draw. The other alternator could be wired wrong. Check to make sure the wires are correct gauge.
SOURCE: IS THERE A HEADLIGHT RELAY FOR HIGH/LOW BEAMS, OR
Headlights in my '03 Jeep Cherokee are through a relay, both both light's are on the same relay I believe.
I would be suspect of any added modules which drive the headlights. Hopefully, they didn't "splice" in, but used one with factory connectors, so you can remove the module and reconnect the connectors as the vehicle was shipped from the factory.
When it's all said and done, you really need a wiring diagram for the vehicle. I can get one for my Jeep at the local repository library. Don't know about your truck. You may be able to find a diagram through some hard searching on the www.
Let me know if you need someone to bounce thoughts off of.

Hi edward gunn, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. What kind of plow? What kind of truck? That should help narrow down the 100's of thousands of possibilities......
It's a Fisher plow .on a Ford 150 the truck is a 2000.don't get any power to the joystick so I have been working on it and found no power to that 7.5 fuse in the harness the ten amp was has power to it so I ran a hot wire to the one that's Dean the powers up the joy stick but won't work the plow at all I really need to know where the power comes from to that 7.5 fuse one end of it goes to the ISO so don't know if that's where it comes from the ISO or where the other end goes to and if that's where the power comes from.thanks for any help I could get.really not to good at this but don't want to give up
