If Short term # is high while underway, but normal while idling, you could have a scewed maf signal. Sometimes cleaning maf with carb cleaner helps. If no intake leaks are found, and fuel pressure and volume are ok, it could be maf sensor.

Recently purchased. MIL light on - Scan tool Shows code P0171 $07E8 Monitor / GenericLean Trim.

First of all, what kind of car is this? Second, this is a lean code. Now, if you really have no intake leaks or restricted fuel issues, one possibility is scewed maf signal during higher rpms. If you can, monitor your Short Term fuel trim at normal highway speeds. If it is high, then and lower at idle, you may need a maf sensor.
Hope this helps

Need torque specs head bolts on a Toyota hilux 2003 2.7 ltr 3fe

its really a 2TR-FE engine, true name, and knowing that name
allows you to google and find this all out fast.
all cars, all engines, get true name then search.
in usa its used on the Tacoma. so lll uses that.(risky)
ok i had to use 2010 Tacoma and bang the 2TR
it has special gasket packing sealant, read that yet
and 67 steps
here is step 5? excerpted.
I MAKE no CLAIM or 2TR is like YOUR TR. not now or ever.
the page shows 29Ft/pounds.
but is not just set there. RTM. read the steps.

commentary. and quotes:
GOT TTY bolts.?

here is my wiki quote. that shows just how complex the simple word
Hilux means.

USA: (mind bending, marking BS)
the Hilux name was retired in 1976

How to set timing on toyota quantum 2,7

2007 , not in USA>

Toyota Quantum (South Africa)
wiki says.
2TR-FE 2,700 cc petrol engine

so google 2TR-FE, or read your FSM.
It features DOHC, 16 valves and VVT-i

changing chain are not easy.
lots of mistakes can blow an engine. if you let it snap.

our 2.7L in the Tacoma, is CHAIN drive.
im at alldata.com
58 steps and 25 photos. for just removal.
how'd you like that, here,
it take me 2 hours to get this , host it and link it.
why would any one do that.
why not pay $15 like we do.. and discounted here.
we dont have your car so pick 07 tocoma , it has same engine.
http://www.scantool.net/software/alldata-diy-1-month-subscription.html

but your body is different so many steps will vary.
why no go to toyota and buy the FSM for your car and your country.

Interchangeable parts

Canadian parts differ from Us and Mexico. Using a US part will decertify Canadian motor vehicle standards. I wouldn't try using anything but Canadian parts
