It will stop only when the battery will dry.
The cooling fan has two wires going to it.
One goes to the ground, one to the "hot" wire.
The hot wire is connected to the sensor on the engine block that tells the fan to turn on whenever the engine temperature reaches a certain point.
I am thinking either the engine block sensor or possibly a relay in the electrical box under the hood has failed, and is sending electricity to the fan when it shouldn't.
Replacing the sensor or the relay will solve the problem.

Switch the fan relay with a known good relay as the contacts may be stuck closed allowing power flow constantly .
