Instrument panel is not working. The Jeep runs &lights work outside,& Turns work. The only thing that works on the dash is the blinker light. I have had the dash checked and it is good

Ok , if you open the book called FSM(its free, despite above)
what do you see, lots
whole chapter on cluster.
and better a chapter 8w (wiring)
just sold my wrangler 02 and upgraded to 08, (a bad idea) xxxxxxx
step by step.
click TJ here ,then o2 (see link below)
ok?
posted this answer 100+ times here...
first my guess fuse blown or bad ground
do the park lamps glow in cluster? (bet yes)
only warnings out, and parks glow in park mode?????????
page 2
fuse PDC 24 blown
or
fuse FB 10 blown (fuses can look ok, and not be good ,a fact)
ground g201 cut? ( see link below )

this is a computer based cluster, and all data is sent to it via
a network, (unlike cars of old) PCI network.

we scan it first. a the OBD2 port, PCM
and if you see errors on the PCI NETWORK ,BINGO

MY GUESS IS YOU NEVER SCANNED IT.
IS YOUR ODOMETER FROZEN?
IF YES, YOU LOST COMMUNICATIONS TO IT.

the cluster has a self test mode, (ask) but does not prove
it can talk to the PCM etc.
the non computer warnings (i call them direct drive )are"

  1. ABS
  2. brake warn, and hand brake lamp
  3. park lamps (aka, illum)
  4. Turns (look ma, no blasted computer here)

now you know how the IP cluster basics work

the free book, unlike spam bs above. is here

    if self test passes
then the car must be scanned, or its all HOPELESS WILD GUE$$ing.

2004 Scion xB instrument panel & blinkers not working?

That is a mess and points to nothing in particular, perhaps a communication issue with the BCM?

You need an auto electrician with a professional grade $5,000 scan tool computer with access to wiring data and the ability to read wiring diagrams.

95 MIATA NO DASH LIGHTS ,

The first thing you should do is check the fuses. It's possible that a fuse has blown, causing the lack of power to the dash lights, gas gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, and instrument panel lights. If the fuses are all good, then you may need to check the wiring harness for any loose connections or damaged wires. If the wiring is all good, then you may need to replace the instrument cluster.

No interior lights on instrument panel

Mine was recently doing the same thing. In order to get it to work with the way it was wired, we had to change one of the glass tube fuses that runs the radio. The problem was that the radio and the dash lights were wired together. So if you had the radio and the dash lights on they would both blow. Don't know if this is a common problem though.

I need to know why the daytime running lites won't come on when I put my 2000 Sunfire in drive they blink 3 times and service lite turns on Relay or microprocessor?

The daytime running light module is built into the instrument cluster of your car and if all the lights work normally with the headlight switch then you need to replace the dash[instrument cluster].A dealer will need to program it whether it is new or used,so plan for that as well.

Instrument panel went dead

Checked Every fuse in the fuse box (no small task). This includes #4 - Power point Instrument Panel, #14 - Day time running lamps (auto lamps doesn't work nor does auto lock), #27 - ignition switch run feed, #35 - Instrument Cluster, #41 - Instrument Cluster, #42 - Delayed Accessory, #45 - Ignition switch run/start feed, #102 - Door locks body security module, #103 - Ignition switch, #110 - Ignition switch, & #116 - Ignition switch. But I also check all other ones as well, they all register OK. AC panel & radio work. Turn signals work. Mileage does not work, trip computer does. So, basically, everything works except auto head-lights, auto locks, and the dash cluster (no MPH, RPM, mileage display, Fuel, Temp, Tran Temp, and Oil Pressure).

Instrument Panel goes on and off, as do headlights

You have to remove the panel to check onthe connections behind it, also check the headlights switch, they tend to burn out.

Dash and shifter lights in 1996 jeep cherokee wont light

Hello and welcome to FixYa . Locate the dial that controls the brightness of the dashboardlights. If the control is not immediately evident. Make sure the brightness control is turned on. If it is and the lights aren't working, the problem may be a bad fuse. Check the fuse that controls the dashboard lights Replace the fuse if necessary. If just one part of the instrument panel is not lighting up, then you have either a burned-out bulb or a wiring problem.

1997 Jeep Cherokee dash and taillights not working

I'm going to suggest you check two things.

The first, obvious, thing to check would be both fuse panels. One in the vehicle, the second under the hood, and SHOULD be located in a box, near the battery.

Secondly, look for any ground that may have broken free, or the ends may be corroded.
