Does not idle
Ok, because of your brief description, I'd suggest you pull the IAC valve and clean it with MAF sensor cleaner.
The idle air control valve is responsible for the idling potientiometer...just remove two screws and pull it out, spray and wipe in a straight direction. It will automatically adjust when you drive it again. Cheers
Well we kinda need a little more information. Is your check engine light on? Does the car run like it’s suppose to when u be it gas or does it miss? First thing I would do is to check the air filter and I’d close ran the throttle body. If they are really gunked up it can cause it to not wanna idle. The butterfly valve lets a tiny amount of air through at idle, sometimes there is a small hole in the butterfly valve in the throttle body. If that hole is plugged up it will cause that. I’d clean the mass airflow sensor as well
Have you got a check engine light on? Any fault codes? Has a engine running self test been done?
SOURCE: troubleshooting air conditioner thermostat 1995 nissan pickup hardbody
The thermostat is located where the lower radiator hose goes into the engine. I've had to replace mine, and it took a while to find it. I found the easiest way to get at it is to remove the power steering pump (hoses attached) and set it over to the side to get at the bolts on the thermostat housing.
Good luck!

yes this will fit, model years 88-97 will fit. I would recommend the newest model you can get, as they improved internal hardware after 93. hopefully this helps
SOURCE: my 1994 nissan hardbody 2.4liter has a high idle
hi,the accelerator pedal can be blocked, which causes it to have a high idle.well what you have to do is to see for the cable for the accelerator, which come on the injector pump.now you will see the cable attach to a rack on the injector pump, this rack has a movement position ,when you press the accelerator pedal it moves to the accelerate position.now what you have to do is to move the accelerator rack to the decelerate position, then after doing that start the engine, see the idle what it give.it should be lower now,put some penetrate oil to the accelerator rack, for the move to be free.hope that help you
