Hello Daniel,

The main temp sensor that can cause this problem is called a aspirator. The Aspirator and the fan is located under the grill in the head liner above the drivers seat.

The first step in trouble shooting is to scan for fault codes. AutoZone may provide a free scan if you have one of their retail outlets close to your location.

Try this:

With the ignition key in the off position remove all fuses identified for the HVAC,Heater,AC in the fuse boxes located in the passenger compartment and the under hood fuse boxes.

Wait for a few minutes and then reinstall the fuses to their correct locations ( Take a quick picture of the fuse boxes before removing them.)

Turn on the key without starting the engine (do not change any heater or ac settings) Wait a minute or two and then start the engine to confirm proper operation. if the heater and ac operate properly all is well..if not the HVAC scan will provide a starting point to isolate your problem.

Where the A/C hoses go into the fire wall , are there hot , cold ? Low on refrigerant . Not blowing cold air , is there air blowing out of the center vents ?

the ac blows cold air and if it is not doing that the there is a problem with the ac system,(leaks) or the ac compressor ( belt problem or clutch not getting power)

Are you saying the engine is cold but the gauge on the dash is saying the coolant is very hot ?
If the engine is cold, the problem could be the gauge or the sending unit.
If the engine is getting hot, the problem could be the radiator is low on coolant or has air in the system, or the water pump is not working.

Change your compressor with the new one.

Could be a high or low pressure switch.

Be carefule of hot parts and rotating/moving belts and pulleys.

If its a whine, most likely the bearings on the idler pulley or the bearings on the ac compressor clutch.
-To trouble shoot with engine running and ac on spray wd40 on bearing area of clutch then wait a few seconds to see if sound goes away. If not then try bearing area(behind bolt of pulley) of idler. This will work as temporay fix, but ultimatly you must replace bad bearing.Do NOT spray on belt or pulley surface.

If its a squeal could be the belt is loose and needs to be replaced or dressed.
-Belt dressing can be spray directly on belt while engine is running and ac is on.
