SOURCE: suzuki XL7 -horn

The owner should locate the horn circuit . prepare the tools or equipment to be used.So that when the horn circuit is check it function properly.locate horn unit, horn relay, horn switch, horn power supply.check the fuse, check the relay, check the switch, check the wires, check the horn unit.Observe safety precautions.Use terms to describe checking horn circuit. If there are worn out or malfunctioning parts replace them.If there are loose connections of wires then reconnect it . But if the owner cant do it go to a car mechanic and the mechanic will do the job.

SOURCE: where is the fuse box?

There are two fuse boxes. One in the engine compartment main fuses that control more than one thing. The second is in the passenger compartment under and I mean under the dash on the drivers side wall. Get a flash light it is a retangular black box, follow the wires to it.

Altinator wiring diagram for 2002 Suzuki grand Vitara Xl7 4x4

ok I have it. Had many VIT's (4 in fact once) before they bugged out of USA, a great car 4wd in snow, even deep.
2.7L V6 (H27)/?
you skipped step one in the ALTERNATOR swap
1: disconnect battery NEG LUG first. or bow the 100amp + ALT fuse.
called FUSE F1 under hood main fuse box.
thaT MAKES THE ALT 100 % DEAD.
XL7 CAR IS VERY different for normal Vitara's for sure.
the ALT has internal voltage REG so that is good news.
see it here. the real schematic, XL7 (02)
click me.

ALL

xl7-undefined-undefined-1.jpg

xl7-undefined-undefined-2.jpg THE LAMP CHARGE MUST GLOW KEY ON OR LAMP IS BAD
OR f1 BLOWN, BOOM.
some brands of ALT use the charge lamp as bootstrap, self excitation path. (keep the lamp good and all is happy)
F1 is blown, BOOM ! doing it wrong.

Have left signal and Hazards but no right signal on 07 XL7 Suzuki

Try checking your fuses. A lot of car manufacturers use separate fuses for Left, Right and the hazard signals. They will be in the fuse box inside the vehicle. The box is located in the side of the centre console, most likely on the passenger side. The fuses for the turn signals are numbers 7 and 11. Try the attached web site as a reference. **NOTE** Always replace fuses 'like for like'. Most common fuses are colour coded so swap for one the same size, Amp rating and colour. https://fuse-box.info/suzuki/suzuki-xl7-2006-2009-fuses-and-relays

2006 Hi there, my suzuki grand vitara harzard lamps have stopped working. all the fuses are ok some one said to check the relay ? can any one help

Q1: all 4 dead?
Q2: do blinkers work ? hummmm
alldata.com covers all this, log in and read>?
does car run perfectly
do all other lamps work? full bright head lights.
cranks fast not slow
battery charged? main car battery?
then
fuse meter good
fuse haz/turn good?
the tail fuse and tail relay most work or the HAZ switch is dead.
is the haz lamp dead? triangle ICON lamp?> in dash.

the schematic is below.
when you turn on the haz button , this sends 0v (ground) logic signal to the BCM puter.
and the turn /haz relay.
the blinker switch has its own inputs to the RELAY .
so one can fail and other work, and not stated, sadly.
its not really a relay its and electronics module.
(means testing it, is not relay like at all)
12v on both pins on left ? top.
in haz mode 0v on the yellow wire.?
if yes , yes, yes, then the relay is bad

25962146-cixb32bj0q4os0yupl5kc3qp-4-0.jpg
the 48 slot is haz/blink relay module.

I have a 2003 suzuki xl7 what causes the tail lights not to work when ive checked the bulbs and fuses and they are good

it can only be 3 things, blown fuse, (test them not gander)
open circuit or short circuit.
are you saying park running lights are dead, aka, TAIL.
are the park lights working up front, ? and on dash?
1st click of head light switch is park. that is dead,at all lamp inside and outside of car?
02 xl7 (usa car answers, we do, here, as it is a USA forum)

this car has a BCM, body brain.
and it runs most things, we scan it first to see if IT has issues.
called DTCs.
when you select TAIL, at switch this is a digital input to BCM
true (0v = true) signal tells BCM you want tail/ parks on.

it (BCM) then closes relay 23 (seen below) park/tail relay
if the fuse is not blown, then this relay glows the dash
Illumination lights (park dim) are yours glowing now.
yes the all that is good fuse to dash.
now out side car, lots of tail/park lamps, which dont glow, just rear?
