Horn location on a 1980 crvette
On an 80 model, should be in front between the headlight actuators..two if im not mistaken..I believe in 81 they swapped to the inside of each front fender...they also used a horn relay in 1980...if the horns aren't working, check the bolts, they are the ground for the horns...they also put like two things under the horns..act as insulator and contacts...if they are not in good shape horns wont work...if you open the hood and look just to the inner side of each headlight you should be able to see the horns.. bolts and pieces under horns very likely the problem...if its a late year production and they are inside the front of the fenders you have to pull the fenders and front clip piece..horn relay should be by fuse box..good luck!

Horn relays are almost always behind the front grill area or headlight, near the driver side fender. Follow the wire from the horn back, and you will find the horn relay.
NOTE: Horn relays don't often fail; usually the problem lies in the steering column, especially as cars age.

Does a 74 olds 98 have a relay for the headlights?
It has a headlight switch. Pull the knob out and it goes from off, to parking, to headlights. A (foot) press switch on the floor controls the low and high beam. The (low) wattage of the headlights back then and not needing to run small wiring through the turn signal switch, allowed them not to require a relay to run the headlights. You have two relays. Your flasher (turn signal) relay - under the dash. And your horn relay mounted on the firewall.

The horn in my 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT dues not wrok how do i fix it and get to it thank you Michelle
check the relay and fuse first. it is in underhood fuse box on drivers side. the fuse is # 43 and its a mini fuse. the relay is # 21 and its a micro relay. to access horn remove right front headlight housing. on top of headlight housing there are 2 plastic slide pins. just pull them up to release housing. then look down to horn. when putting housing back on just push in on housing and push pins back down. have a good one !!

Horn want work
Check the horn itself by running a wire from the positive lead of the battery to the connection spade on the horn. If it works, you may have a bad horn relay or the problem may be in the steering column.
If you have air bags, DO NOT attempt to work on the column unless you exactly follow directions for that found in either haynes or chilton manuals. Otherwise, your air bag may deploy and hurt you.
If the air bag light on the dash is on, chances are that the "clock spring" in the column has failed.

the explorer has two horns, they are both mounted under the driver's side headlight behind the front bumper. you will need to remove the splash shield to get to them. Hope this helps you

2005 sebring convertible- horn goes off by itself for 30 seconds
FIrst off the horn's ground works through the steering wheel,so the wire is bare or the end is broken and grounding in a place where it should not. You will have to check the wires for the horn from the fuse box up to the wheel.
your power feed to the headlights and the door locks has an open ( the power is not connected somewhere ) Perform a wiggle test turn on the headlights and lift the hood,find the power distribution box and begin to wiggle the wire harness.Sometimes the chrysler fuse box under the hood get loose inside the power distribution box,it will have to be broken down all the way to the heavy wires comming out of hte box,you can tighten these connections your self.
