The gauges in the vehicle are a basic indicator of what's going on in the engine, they aren't very accurate, IE: My Ford F250 sits about 1/4 of the way up on the temp gauge but blows HOT air.

If your car is under warranty take it in and make them change the temp gauge or the sending unit to fix it. If you don't want to bother with them then buy a good aftermarket mechanical gauge set and hook them up on the pillar or under the dash.

SOURCE: airconditioner suddenly stopped blowing cold air while I was driving--blows warm air now

you can get a recharge kit at Auto Zone, the car has to be runnung to fill it. . This is the first thing I would do, to see if it's out of freeon first.

Ask the Auto zone man to come out side and help you refill it. They will help if you ask.

Have the plastic intake manifold and gasket replaced. I have posted this fixed at least once before and have seen it numerous times.

SOURCE: heat

If this car is remote start GM has a service bulletin out to do a computer flash to correct this problem, it will probably blow hot air in the summer if it remote started if you don't have the computer flash done. Hope this helps

Aveo 09 started idling at 800rpm on first startup after oil change, usually 1000rpm at startup

Not likely. 20W-50 is usually used in high rpm engines in warm to hot climate. By any chance is your windshield defroster on? When the defroster is blowing your air conditioner compressor is engaged which pulls the moisture out of the air so you get HOT DRY air blowing on the interior of your windshield

2010 mustang air conditioner blowing warm air and hesitating

Very strange.
Usually the ac compressor cuts off if the computer detects a major problem with the engine such as a power loss on more than one cylinder.
And if that happens the computer should store trouble codes for the issues.
Is the check engine light staying on ? Will the ac work if the engine idles ?

2004 Gmc Envoy XUV A/C problems

Hi, do you turn the AC as soon as you start the car? If this is the case yes if will blow hot until the AC kicks in. What the ac does is not put cold air in to the vehicle it removes the heat from the air, so it does take time for it to do this.A little trick for a bit quicker is to roll down a window these just helps. I read that once it starts getting cold it stays cold is this right? Once it stays cold have you notice that if you stop for just like running into the store and you start the car back up is it still cold or does the problem starts over? Hope this helps some please let me know.

Cheers
