Why doesn't it start?

My Suburban was rear ended and now won't start. Is there an intertia switch and if so where?

I have not clue. I was rear ended and now it won't start. I have lights, etc but it just clicks so not sure if it's the starter, or if there is a inertia switch.

Do not think there is one as FORD was the only company that used them . quite likely the wiring got rippered loose to the fuel pump

sound like problem in the theft security systm, try this insert another key in the ignition switch, the other key could be worn where pcm and bcm dont recognize it. and switch ignition on engine off watch padlock symbol with ignition switch left on 10 minutes the padlock symbol will extinguish or turn off then you will turn off ignition switch wait 5 seconds then try starting vechicle if start your theft security failing need let dealership check it out.

All windows run off the same circuit. If the one window doesn't work it is not a fuse problem.

I've had numerous issues just this summer with my 2008 LTZ Suburban. The dealership has replaced the battery, some module and, it's back in as we speak to have both runnimg board motors replaced because they both locked up again! A friend of mine owns a 2009 LTZ Suburban and has started having intermittent problems with her running boards, too. When it's time to up-grade, I will NOT be getting retractable running boards again!!

put the rear on jack stands, and run the wheels up to about 20 to 30 and have someone lay underneath and see if the sound is coming from the center of the rear end. I rebuild these rear ends all the time, sounds like possibly the start of bearing failure

My Suburban has been "shutting

Hello: You could have one of two problems: Either you have a intermittent passkey lock cylinder or a worn our ignition switch. You might go to Auto Zone and have the system checked for codes, If its a passlock problem there should be codes. I would think it might be the ignition switch if the truck quits running. Due to age and mileage it could be both.
