links were very good,Locate the starter motor, which is close to the firewall on the passenger side of the engine and looks like two cylindrical pieces joined together. The starter on the 1985 Corvette is hidden, looking from underneath the vehicle, by the flywheel cover. If you are still having difficulty finding the starter, trace the positive battery cable, which also splits and leads to the alternator, from the battery to the starter.

Have you tried replacing the horns themselves? Have you checked all the fuses relating to the horns? Relay? Maybe its the horn button itself? Hope this helps.

I think I'd be looking at the coolant temperature sensor. It supplies info regarding engine temperature, thus regulates fuel accordingly. If it tells PCM, that engine is already warm, when still cold, it can cause those conditions as well as others.

Check your battery cable running to your stater solenoid and to the starter, check the connections good. Also check you ground wire for good connection
