links were very good,Locate the starter motor, which is close to the firewall on the passenger side of the engine and looks like two cylindrical pieces joined together. The starter on the 1985 Corvette is hidden, looking from underneath the vehicle, by the flywheel cover. If you are still having difficulty finding the starter, trace the positive battery cable, which also splits and leads to the alternator, from the battery to the starter.

SOURCE: 1985 corvette horns...

Have you tried replacing the horns themselves? Have you checked all the fuses relating to the horns? Relay? Maybe its the horn button itself? Hope this helps.

I think I'd be looking at the coolant temperature sensor. It supplies info regarding engine temperature, thus regulates fuel accordingly. If it tells PCM, that engine is already warm, when still cold, it can cause those conditions as well as others.

Check your battery cable running to your stater solenoid and to the starter, check the connections good. Also check you ground wire for good connection

Did you check your battery voltage? Try to jump the vehicle with another vehicle that is running fine? It takes less battery power to light up bulbs in the dash than it does to crank your engine.

My 1985 vette starts up cold good and no smoke but after warm up it don't want to crank when it does it has black gray smoke for a min what's wrong

not starting when it gets warm could be a starter problem, the amp draw is probably to high for the battery to supply enough power to start. starter draw should be around 150-200 amps. the black gray smoke is too much fuel that isn`t being burnt. if the starter draw is too high then there isn`t enough voltage for the ignition system to fire the plugs properly causing the smoke.

Lights are going crazy like bad ground or computer on my 1985 vette

If you are are talking about the dashboard lights, there is a known problem that causes them to go "crazy" as you call it. There is a part known as the tachometer filter. This is a capacitor that filters the noise coming mainly from the ignition and that causes the dashboard display to go "crazy". If that is your problem, go to Ecklers store on web and search for the tachometer filter. It comes with instructions. This part goes next and connects to your distributor.
