Car idles fine when excelerating lopes no power

Does the car start and idle fine?
If yes and the car looses power when you excelerate it may be a clogged fuel filter.

Clean your throttle body and map/maf sensor. If that doesn't work you may have a bad iac sensor (idle air control sensor)

idle air control is looking for base idle. throttle body base idle plate is dirty with carbon. cleaned out throttle plate with carb cleaner and tooth brush. use rags to catch black carbon.open plate.by some one hold throttle plate open with gas pedal. engine not running. after completed, start engine. run 1500 prm for a short time to clean out excess fluid. that should fix your problem..

A mechanic would check for trouble codes in the computer and the fuel pressure.

1. Vacuum leakage Check throttle body and intake manifold for tightness. check all vacuum hoses.
2. Faulty fuel or pump or electrical.
3. Plugged PVC valve.
4. Air filter clogged
5. Leaking head gasket.
6. Camshaft lobs worn.
All of these porblems can cause lopes or erratic idle.

You could have a clogged fuel filter, if you haven't changed it in awhile. You could have a leak in the intake system somwhere also. When you slow down, you get less power to the engine. It may need spark plugs and wires as well, if in need for a tune up.

the transmission is gone check your fluid level if you havent allready fried it by running it dry

try cleaning your idle control valve, make sure you dont have any codes in your computer, if you do address those codesl
