1995 ford mustang 3.8 serpintine belt diagram ac bypass

I'm not sure a bypass belt will work? Ac is number 3, at the top of engine? A bypass pulley for the ac, should work, if you can find one? Just my opinion.

Serpintine belt

if the ac is not working then if you leave it switched off there will be no need to get a special belt to by-pass it. The pulley on the ac compressor is just an idler pulley that only turns the compressor when there is current to the clutch in the pulley. IF you never use the ac the pulley just spins . The problem with special belts is if they fail (and they do ) it will be where/ when you cannot get a special belt but you will always get a proper belt from any spares store or garage.

If the engine is turning over than none of the things you replaced will make the engine"start". You will need to check for fuel pressure and spark first.

I have a mazda 626 and it overheat on me and also my timing belt is lose can a timing belt cause a car to overheat and shut down

as the timing belt usually turns the water pump yes it is possible. i am not sure what motor you have in this but i would think you ar elooking at your serpintine belt as your timing belt is behind plastic covers and is not visable. maybe your serpintine belt runs the water pump and as it is loose then it will not spin the water pump causing it to overheat

Serpintine belt was replace as was the idler arm. alternator is charging, and noise difference when ac is on or off. But noise is very loud when engine is running. When serpintine belt is off there is no...

With the belt off, try to spin each pulley that spins and see if there is any roughness or flat spots on the bearings that you can detect with your hands.

Usually, the bearings on Alternators or idler pulleys go bad before the a/c because the a/c should have oil in it. However, it could be any of the pulleys that the belt spins on.

It can be a process of elimination of changing parts until the sound goes away, if you can't detect it under free spinning conditions with the belt off.

the serpentine belt is kept tight by a spring loaded tensioner, if the belt is off, use a wrench to see if the tensioner is still spring adjustable if it dont move then the tensioner is faulty, if the tensioner is good then look for a/c compressor bearing bad causing belt to ride off pulleys, or possibly just a bad belt
