Most likely, it's a short to ground somewhere in the circuit. Potentially, the power wire for the fuel pump is finding a path to ground before the load (fuel pump) which then pulls too much current and causes the fuse to pop.

To be honest, more info like year and engine would be helpful. Then I can look up all the loads that are on the circuit and potentially point you in the right direction. I am ASE certified in electrical and would be happy to help you. Feel free to contact me at: https://www.6ya.com/eugene_aa01c1a9fa4c2ed9

SOURCE: spark plugs getting wet from fuel, compression ok, not starting, timing ok, spark ok, new spark plugs, changed fuel pump in tank,

Check fuel pressure regulator. The actual pressure with a gauge the clean injectors. I'd double check the timing. It also can be the throttle body. Only so many fuel problems the take a good look at the distributor. Small crack or bad wire gives off spark but might not be enough small 4 cylinder for their pecission motors need to be precise check fuses and main busses those are easy and cheap fixes

1991 Dodge stealth ES. I heard pop noise while driving front tires locked up Wheels won't turn more than a couple revolutions in forward or reverse or neutral and neither direction.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Ford to Dodge Stealth.

Pops normally come from engines. Does the engine still run? If not, the gearbox has locked up. It is very puzzling.

I keep blowing the ems1 fuse in my 2010 Chevy aveo. My car turns over a couple times then blows the fuse. Help please?!?!

Might have a shorted circuit in the starting system. Good idea to also check for codes in the ECM. If any present, may help in pinpointing the problem.

Horn fuse keeps popping

Turn key off, locate and unplug horn, install known good fuse and or ckt. brkr, push horn button, if fuse does not blow replace horn assy. If fuse blows you have a short on circuit wires. A well trained electrical tecnician should have no problems finding it, plus you'll need schematics. Good luck!!!

Why does my efi fuse keeps popping 1999 chevy prizm

Pull the EFI relay, replace the fuse, and see if it blows when you turn the key on. If it does not turn the key off, reinstall the EFI relay and remove the circuit opening relay/fuel pump relay. Turn the key on. If the fuse blows than we know the problem is One of the O2 sensors, the IAC, the purge solenoid, or the ECM You can unplug the O2 sensors, iac, and purge solenoid. Replace the fuse, turn the key on, and plug them in one at a time until the fuse blows. Replace that component. If the fuse blows with those unplugged than its probaly the wiring and possibly the ECM. let me know what you find and I'll help you more if needed.

Had a radio installed it flicks or pops frm time to time but this maybe causing my fuse to pop and my car wont start. Had put a relay switch on about a month ago.helppp

Hi.

If there is popping sound and the fuse blows when the radio is flickering, then it is usually a short in the stereo wiring. The short results in excessive power draw and blows the main fuse. The radio must be removed to check the wiring behind. In some less common case the radio itself may be shorted inside becuse a defective PSU. If you have installed an amplifier check also that the problem is not the amplifier ordinary power draw, in that case the problem is fixed installing a capacitor in the amplifier power wiring.

BUT which fuses keep blowing - that is where we need to start.
1. is it the ignition circuit. - - does starter motor turn over when you trun the key.
2. is it the starter relay circuit.
3. is it the starter motor circuit.
4. is it the computer circuit. - - do you have fuel pumping to the engine and cylinders.
5. none of the above. - - do you have spark at the spark plugs.
