What size battery cold cranking amps do I need for a 1999 Dodge Caravan

if this battery fits in and it turns the motor over from cold ,,,then yes you can

if it cranks real slow when hot and ok when cold then the battery is ok
starter may be bad you need an ameter to verifie it though if it draws to many amps then its bad.but i think it a safe bet starter is bad

where ever you buy the battery,they will have the size listed,all you need to decide is how many cold cranking amps you want,
the more cold cranking amps the more you can crank your engine over before going dead

You didn't give me an engine size so I estimated the CCA (cold cranking amps) at minimum 685 for a 3.0 liter engine.
If you install this particular battery it will cover any one of the engines that were offered for you van at that time.

Replace battery. The CCA or cold cranking amps can be too low while voltage remains normal. Most the time when this happens the battery only operates properly when cold.

your cars battery might only need charging or battery acid replacement, but if you'd realy wish to buy new one, buy one with the same size and voltage and amps as the one you have right now, or you could buy a battery with the same voltage with a higher amppere-hour (Ah) rating!

Maybe you have already tried it, but be sure your battery terminals are clean and tight. Hope it helps.
