My '94 Escort lx keeps burning up the ATF. What's the cause likely to be?

Your transmission is failing. Your clutches are burnt. Your check engine light should be on by now. By now you should be experiencing rough gear shifts amongst other things.

My truck has problemms shifting from 2nd to third, the rpms usually runup to 3000 before shifting, sometimes it holds at that rpm for some time.

check vacum hose running to back of trans for vacum if has good vacum replace modulator valve on transmission(where vacum hose ends).its a easy fix.

Wont shift out of first gear

check the shift module not sure if its electric or vacume on that model but on the older ones it usually was just a loose vacume hose under the transmission or plugged up hose. good luck:)

Where does the green vacume lime from my transmission go

There are no vacum lines coming from trans, it is most likely a vent hose or a vacum line for the 4 wheel drive switch.

Transmission will get stuck in a gear and wont up shift to the next gear or it will constantly up shift and down shift

suggest you check for a vacum line off that goes to the transmission modulator valve, which controls the shifting in transmission.or may possibly just be a bad modulator valve on the side of the transmission. 1st check for a vacum line off, with engine running do you hear a whistling or air sucking sound on top or rear of motor? if so, follow that sound to a hose or small black hose thats off.if you are driving the car and start off in low drive and can manually shift to upper gears with no problems, your problem is either a vacum line off, or it's a bad modulator valve on the transmission. hope this helps!!!

The 4wd will not engage on 2004 tundra

you probably have a vacume leak , there is a control harness that runs from the front axle up on the transmisson , usually with 4 little hoses attached and it plugs in at the transmission, that is where the vacume comes from , that is where I would start

Plastic t hose connector cracked, what do i ask for at part store , lost broken part, this has three hoses connected to it, and it goes to the heater

If all the vacum hoses are the same size, cut a piece about a 1/4"off 1 of the hoses, and take it with you to
the parts store. Give the piece of hose to the parts guy/gal and tell them you need a 3 way vacum connector. Some are T shaped some are Y shaped get both they're cheap. Use the one that fits best without kinking the line. Also if you have different size
hose to the connecter, cut a 1/4" off each.
Hope this helps. Good luck

1994 automatic transmission slipping

more than likely it would be your torque converter and not your trans
but you could have the overall dreaded problem that your second gear has grinded its self down and thats why you cant get second gear
no vacumes for the 94 straight mechanical and electrical if there was a vacume you would have found it when you dropped the pan it isnt hard to see around the whole trans cause it would be located next to the speedo with a rubber hose 1/4 thick
