SOURCE: 2009 dodge journey...rear brake

If the e-brake cable is attached to caliper the piston is threaded. I use a very inexpensive tool i bought at the parts store . you will need to turn and press the piston at the same time. be aware that the two different sides are threaded oposite of each other. If the e-brake cable is not attached to caliperr the a c clamp should do the job.

Dodge Journey owners please go to http://www.change.org/petitions/dodge-journey-s-defects sign and pass along please. Dodge had built and sold this car with defects that they refuse to fix, this is not the kind of quality we should expect.

Location of the starter on 2009 journey

Best suggestion is to go to parts house and find a Chilton/Haynes manual for your vehicle. From the diagrams shown online it a bit of a bear to access and may be best left to Dodge dealer. Also, according to online articles, there have been some known issues regarding this vehicles starter system and some recalls.

I'm a woman trying to teach myself how to maintain my own car. I have a 2009 Dodge Journey 3.5 v6. I wanted to know basic instructions on how to change the oil myself? any help pls?

You could try some YouTube videos on similar models.
Its a messy job, and for most people easier to pay someone to do.
You have to remove the drain plug from the oil pan to drain the oil into a pan, then dispose of it safely, and change the filter, then refill the oil pan with new oil.

My 2009 dodge journey won't start, the lights bells and everything else works but all the car does when i try is click

i would check battery connections and test battery. a battery can have a bad cell and run lights but not have enough amps to spin a stater. if everything on battery is good i would suspect a bad starter

Dodge journey intake manifold

My engine light is on. The code is P2004. The warranty does not cover this part, go figure! The mechanic said it is the intake manifold that needs to be changed out. A friend is going to do it for me. Where is this part located on a 2009 Dodge Journey? Do you know if the part is expensive? The mechanic wants to charge me $650 in which I don't have! I am a single mom!
