I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I just had the Supercharger oil drained and refilled (115,000 miles) by a local shop. Next day most of new oil has leaked out at the pulley. Shop claims no seal or gasket kits available, must remove and send entire supercharger assembly to a west coast 3rd party for service. Is there a seal or gasket kit, and why this may have happened.
There is seal kits.available for the.m 90 supercharger on the 3800 go to zzperformance.com youl find an eye.full off aftermarket and hard to find parts for the gtp.

MOST LOCAL SHOPS DON'T HAVE ALLOT OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SUPERCHARGES .THE SUPERCHARGER CAN BE DISSEMBLE IN 3 PARTS .IF THEY DID THE THERE IS GASKETS THAT DO NEED TO BE REPLACE .ALSO IF THEY TOOK THE WHOLE SUPERCHARGER OF YOU NEED NEW GASKETS .. OR THE SHOP DID NOT TIGHT THE BOLT ON RIGHT...IS A VERY EASY PROCESS TO CHANGE YOU'RE SUPERCHARGER OIL....THEY SHOULD OF HAVE NOT TRY TO FIX SOMETHING THEY NEVER HAD DONE..I HOPE THEY DID NOT CHARGE YOU OVER $$$$150
This is a true statement from shop- it needs to be sent away for service. - it happened because the car has a lot of miles on it and the parts just wore out.
