Does a 1998 Pontiac bonneville have child seat ancor points by rear window?

The interior fuse box in a Pontiac Bonneville is underneath the backseat on the driver's side.

To remove the rear seat cushion:
1. Pull up on the front of the cushion to release the
front hooks.
2. Pull the cushion up and out toward the front of
the vehicle.

To reinstall the rear seat cushion:

1. Buckle the center passenger position safety belt, then
route the safety belts through the proper slots in the
seat cushion. Don't let the safety belts get twisted.
2. Slide the rear of the cushion up and under the
seatback so the rear - locating guides hook into the
wire loops on the back frame.
3. With the seat cushion lowered, push rearward and
then press down on the seat cushion until the spring
locks on both ends engage.
4. Check to make sure the safety belts are properly
routed and that no portion of any safety belt is
trapped under the seat. Also make sure the seat
cushion is secured.

Notice:
The battery and main fuse blocks are located
under the rear seat cushion. The battery's ground
terminal and some relay wires are exposed.
To help avoid damage to the battery and wires,
be careful when removing or reinstalling the seat
cushion. Do not remove covers from covered
parts. Do not store anything under the seat, as
objects could touch exposed wires and cause
a short.

If you go to any firehouse they will show you how to install the seat free of charge, the police station does this as well. Call ahead to see which one does the public service.

the battery is located under the rear seat. grabfront of rear seat and put pressure toward rear of seat while lifting and seat should lift up and slide forward.

I have a 1996 bonneville and I am having the same problem. if you read this and have had your car fixed by now please email me and let me know what the problem wwas because even professional machanics do not know the problem. my cars seems like it wants to start but would put as if it were out of gas then shuts off the windows will not work and also the seats will not move (electric) so if you have found a solution by now and actually read this please email me, my name is sara saaradixon2010 @yahoo .com

The firing order is 1,6,5,4,3,2.The number one cylinder is in the front passengers side.So the front would be 1,3,5 and the rear would be 2,4,6.Hope this helps.Good luck.Let me know if I can help you with anymore questions.

There's a bunch of fuses under the rear seat.
lift the front of the seat straight up.

the rear switch is bad worse case the motors are bad but not likely try replacing the swich or the child safty swich is in the off pos...? turn the safty off use the back seat switch if this doesnt work replace the front switch

I had the same problem as you. Take out the back seat and there is a large access hole to the interior. There are two bolts that are fairly easy to get to. Remove them and the truck latch is removed from the lid and trunk will open.
