check the ground on the starter or the starter itself

CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE.IT SHOULD BE 12.5 VOLTS.IF BATTERY OKAY.YOUR FUEL FILTER COULD BE STOPPED UP.OR YOU NEED NEW PLUGS + WIRES + CAP AND ROTOR.

means the distributor is installed wrong if it has one!

You will need to purchase the Hardware kit also. The softtop does not come with it. It runs around $150. That is if you dont have one already. With this installed the softtop will be easy to put on

read the whole procedure from apple auto glass web site. it is labour insentive and straight forward. remove rust fill holes with fibre glass, sand smooth , paint, run ruber with glue etc. etc.vitally

If it has flanges on both ends, just unbolt it and replace. If it has welded pipes you will need to cut it off and use adapter sleeves and clamps. Really not rocket science...at worst, you may need to remove the hangars on the rear portion of the system to get enough room to install.

Raise vehicle, disconnect negative battery cable. remove two nuts and wires holding cables with approx 3/8 socket. It will probably be metric.

Then remove two retaining bolts holding starter. remove starter
Reverse procedure to reinstall.

is it the straight six? if so first disconnect the battery then there should be 2 bolt 13 or 14 mm. take wires off. then reverse for install.
