Depending on what type of vehicle it is, (NO INFO) sounds like you need to have it towed to a good quality shop to have it diagnosed. If your timing belt broke it's a good chance you have an interference engine which would cause internal damage that would need repair by a qualified person/shop with specialty tools to complete the repairs.

Make sure timing marks are both pointing to 12 o'clock then set distributor on #1,,, I think firing order is 1342 , its been awhile.

Yes, this engine isn an interference engine, and your valves will get ruined if your timing belt breaks. It is money well spent to replace it , and don't forget to have the water pump and tensioner replaced at the same time!
