Where is the crank sensor on a chevy cavalier 97 2.2

The crank sensor is on the front (belt) side of the engine. From all the way towards the bottom right behind the crank pulley. You have to remove the vibration damper and pulley to get to it. You can see that it will be having two wires running to it.
Thank you !

97 Cavalier brake chattering at 80 km/hr or higher

Sounds as if your brake rotors are warped from overheating. You can have them machined to take this out if they are thick enough. This should take care of the problem, if not replace rotors.

If tention pully was loose would it make a steel on steele sound i nothing is rattling 97 cavalier

it could and also look at the idler pulley too. If it is your tensioner or idler pulley, try not to drive it to much till you can replace it. If the pulley bearing fails, you'll end up on the side of the road. With out the pulley's you'll lose your power steering, water pump, and alternator. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help. If there is a Auto Zone around your area, your can buy the replacement parts there and they will have the step by step instruction to do the job and it's fee of charge.

93 cavalier vibrating

your probably feeling a rough idle of the engine. need a tune up?

in park the engine is not loaded down, just idling at a low rpm=rough
in drive with brake on you have put some load on motor also at low rpm=rough
in drive on the road engine is at higher rpm, = smoother

generally 4 cylinder motors idle a bit rough, especially if one spark plug is not firing right or fouled or one bad spark plug wire. tune up may fix it. if it is not stumbling real bad or stalling then you can live with it.
