SOURCE: '84 Ford Ranger cuts off after about 30 mins of driving.

sounds like the auto choke isnt turning itself off properly but to be totally honest i would need this to happen when i test drive it to diagnose it correctly .

SOURCE: 2001 ranger wont start after sitting

check the fuel pump and see is working properly, if the pump is good than the problems will be the crank sensor is faulty. what crank sensor does it sense the turning of the flywheel and it send a single to ecu, and ecu send a flow of power to turn on the fuel pump as long it sense the flywheel turning.

After i start the truck and run for awhile and shut it off it has to sit till it cools off to start. the starter drags

if the battery is good and the starter drags while trying to start then you have a problem with the starter and it will need changing.

2001 ford ranger after it sits for a few hours it

No not the fuel pump. You most likely need to do a tune uo. New spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter. Deffinently change out the spark plugs. I would suggest using autocraft, autolite (fords brand} or some densos or ngk for better performance. Hope this solves your problem.

1992 ford ranger pickup 4 cyl. 5 speed

Your engine coolant temp. sensor is going bad. What happens is that your engine computer is receiving a bad signal from the ECT sensor and it thinks it's 40 below. An example is it basically slams the choke shut if it had a distributor. When it cools off, I'll bet it runs just fine.
