Call your Volvo dealer with the VIN number. They can give you the code and advise if you can reset it yourself or if you will have to take it in.

I believe it is the 3 and 5 buttons on the radio it will bring up the #'s keep pushing them until you get your code all typed in.

Yes, alot of cars have this feature. It is a anti-theft feature so if it is removed you need a code to unlock the radio (or if the battery is unpluged). If it's an after market deck than it should be in the manual if no manual than try googling it. If it is the factory deck than more than likly you will have to go back to the dealer to get the code. you will need to pull radio out and retrieve s/n off of stereo. with s/n i can get anti theft code for you. if you need help with removing radio let me know.
