SOURCE: i cant find the sensors

Chances are it is not the coolant temp sensor. The sensor is located right above the alternator, if you have the smaller engine. I wouldn't touch the sensor if you don't have a check engine light on.

SOURCE: 1995 Nissan Sentra, The engine light and brake

You could have faulty altenator or short causing the battery to drain. The engine light usually comes on when anything electrical or sensor wise is faulty. Brake light will come on if, low brake fluid, e-brake handle is up.

SOURCE: service engine code P0302 2000 nissan sentra

I would check that spark plug, and have that coil checked or replaced. Also check for any vacuum hose leaks in the area of the cylinder.

Hi I have a nissan sentra and recently my battery was on off blinking then suddenly in few days my car stopped..and I got a code say p0846

Charge/jump the battery and see if it restarts. When running, pull the negative cable. If the car dies, replace the alternator. The 846 code is a transmission code. Could have been because of low voltage. It wouldn't cause the engine not to run.

I have Nissan Exalta2000, it would power off all of a sudden while driving, the 4 icons on the dashborad lit up and if I stop tha car wont start. it happens 3 times and if I get a mechanic they cannot...

hello there, had to do some looking up as to what NISSAN EXALTA 2000 actualy is. i reside in USA and we do not have exalta on our streets. here, its a powertrain aka engine and transmission in a NISSAN SENTRA so it should be very similar to our sentra as far as setups except for different body. I think that you have an issue with the CRANK ANGLE SENSOR. i would start with replacing the sensor. is the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light on??? if so, that could be for many reasons and one of them would be crank angle sensor issue. nissan had problem with those sensors. they would cause the car to die. nissan had campaign / free replacement program in those model years of nissan sentra 2000 year model. have the crank sensor replaced. start there. like i said very common problem.

2004 nissan sentra

Do the RPM's hold stead when engine is started or does is go up and down? If this is an issue try replacing the check idle valve and the mass airflow sensor. The on board computer could be getting incorrect data from those sensors stating not enough air is entering engine for a proper air/fuel ratio

Where is the crankshaft sensor located ?

The crankshaft position sensor (POS) is located on the oil pan facing the gear teeth (cogs) of the signal plate. It detects the fluctuation of the engine revolution.
After replacement, ECM reprogramming is required.
This vehicle may be subject to voluntary recall, CAMPAIGN I.D. # R0606, that involves the crankshaft position sensor:

Quote: Nissan has determined that on some 2003 - 2004 Altima and Sentra vehicles with the 2.5 liter engine the operation of the crank angle sensor is significantly affected by variations in temperature that occur due to the unique location of the sensor in the engine. Under certain driving conditions, these variations in temperature can be large enough to cause a brief interruption in the signal output from the sensor. If the interruption in the signal from the sensor is so brief that the Electronic Control Module (ECM) logic does not have time to diagnose the condition, the engine may stop running without warning while the vehicle is driven at low speed.
