Its possible that this "service light" just reminder to you that "!is time to check/change" fluids and filters, check you mileage and maintenance schedule.
Check your owner's manual or at least try to describe what the icon looks like. what kind of solution were you expecting when you just tell someone there's an icon in your dash you don't recognize?
That wrench is a maintenance minder indicator lettting you know that your oil's service life is at 15%, not that the level or amount is low. Have your oil changed and have the maintenance minder light reset.
DTC stands for Diagnostic Trouble Code. My question is why did you have the vehicle checked out in the first place? Is the check engine light on? What was the code number and did it start with P0 or P1. If you don't remember then have the code(s) cleared and operate the vehicle until the code(s) reappear. The code or codes can help you to determine where to start looking.
The service light comes on every 5000 miles to remind you to change the oil & check fluids. It is reset with a special tool that connects to the OBDII connector.
You will have to get the codes for both of these modules. Then you can post back and I can help you and explain what they mean.Auto Zone will check the service engine soon light but I don`t know if they can check the theft light. They won`t charge you.
i would say it is just reminding you to to get the vehicle serviced its not major but most vehicles need to be serviced on a regular basis i think every 5000 km
You can check them with a "OBD2" diagnostic scanner. Once you find out what is wrong, You can turn the light off via the scanner. If you have an Auto Zone store near you, the have a tool loan program. All you have to do is leave a deposit and when you return the scanner they will give all your money back. Hope this helps.
